Pultneyville/ Plattsburg, NY - Mrs. Eleanor (Ellie) Filmer Palmer passed away on September 26th at her home in Plattsburgh, NY.  She was born on May 8, 1930, in Gloversville, New York to parents Stewart and Charlotte Filmer.  Mrs. Palmer is predeceased by her beloved son Scott Ashley Palmer (2006), her husband Vincent Allen Palmer (2011) and her brother Ronald Filmer (2022).  She is survived by her son Craig F. Palmer (Neil Barnabé) of Montreal, Canada and by her nieces and nephew: Sheryl Ann Caranci, Ronald S. Filmer, and Carole L. Keyser.

Originally from Gloversville NY, Mrs. Palmer became a long-time resident of Pultneyville, NY where she raised her family.   Sometimes referred to as the Guru of Household Sales, members of the community best knew Ellie from her many years running Ellie Palmer Associates, a company she started in the early 1970’s.  As a female entrepreneur, Ellie was a true pioneer and successfully ran her business with great pride until she was 79.  She was deeply devoted to her family and provided loving home care for both her son Scott and her husband Vince during their illnesses.
