PALMYRA: Shannon L. Rush (Wood), age 55, of Palmyra, NY passed peacefully on January 1, 2026, surrounded by her family.  Born on January 12, 1970, Shannon grew up in Walworth, NY and attended Gananda Schools.  She enjoyed working for Dolomite Products for more than 2 decades.

Shannon love to travel, Australia being one of her favorite destinations.  She loved her cats, cross-stitching, reading and crime shows.  She will be remembered for her strength, her joyful laugh and loving spirit.

Those who will miss her most include her sons, Stacy Rush Jr. and Sawyer (Ashley) Rush, her brother, Joseph Wood, Aunt and Uncles Richard and Barbara Stalker, Harlan and Robin Hilton, many close cousins and friends.  Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Hilton Wood, her grandparents, Harlan and June Hilton, and Aunt and Uncle, Esther and Paul Rogalski.

Honoring Shannon’s wishes, her body has been donated to the UR Medical Anatomical Gift Program.  A celebration of life will be held at the Macedon Center Fire hall on Sunday, January 11, at 10:00 am.  Those who wish to remember Shannon are invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to The Wayne County Humane Society.
