PALMYRA - Carol Russell, 83, was reunited with her husband, Claude (DOD 2000) and sons Robert (DOD 2021) and Eric (DOD 2017) on August 25, 2026. Carol was the daughter of Lloyd and Genevieve Russell, born October 15, 1942 in Rochester, NY. Carol and Claude raised their family in Newark, where she devoted herself to their care. Carol is survived by her brother, Gordon (Sally) Windsor of Rochester and many, many friends. 

She was an avid reader, crochet queen, and tireless volunteer. Carol joined the Palmyra Moose Lodge #1420 in 2007 and quickly became a very active member. After holding several committee chair positions, she earned her Academy of Friendship degree in 2020, became Senior Regent in 2022, and was currently President of the lodge. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. 

A celebration of life will be held at the Palmyra Moose Lodge on September 26th at 2pm.
