LYONS: Martin W. Schetrompf passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29th, 2024 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his father (Marshall), mother (Inez), 8 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by

his brother Kenny (Bonnie) Schetrompf and sister Margie (James) Lucia. Also survived by his loving wife and best friend Sheila Schetrompf, daughters, Melissa (Randy), Sophia (Benjamin), Parthena (James), Georgiana (David) and Stacy (Reinaldo Sr.). Many grandchildren who were his greatest gifts, Marissa, Miranda, Annika, Evi, Gavin, Carson, Emma, Elise, Reinaldo Jr., Rey and Reina. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was surrounded by a big family and lifelong friends that loved and adored him.

He retired from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, where he served as a correctional officer for 25 years. He loved traveling, hunting, guns, cars and loved his loyal pet Westie- “Buddy”.

Services will be held at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home 77 Williams St. Lyons, NY on Thursday, January 9th from 3-6pm with a service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in his honor to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit.
