NORTH ROSE: Barbara Seager peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Duane and grandson, Jason. Barbara was a lifelong resident of North Rose where she worked on the family farm until joining the North Rose-Wolcott Schools as a cafeteria baker for forty years. She was active in her church serving in the choir and in the women’s missionary group making and packing clothes and other essential items to other countries for those in need. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and making craft items while a member of the Sodus Home Bureau. 

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Vickie (Bill Cummings) and Jolene (Jay DeWispelaere); Granddaughters: Ryan (Eric Allen), Moira (Jamison Blankenship), Lindsey (Anthony Noriega) and Caitlin (Aaron Nice); Sisters: Dorothy Neal, Eleanor Sears and Phyllis Foster; seven great grandchildren.

There will be calling hours from 10-11 am on Wednesday, September 11, at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose followed by brief ceremony and burial at York Settlement Cemetery in North Rose.
