LYONS: Roger A. Silcox Sr., 59, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Silcox Sr, beloved son, father, and brother.

Friends may call on from 2-5 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the New Life Assembly of God, 7608 NY-31, Lyons, NY  14489. A private burial will be at the South Lyons Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local motorcycle safety organization to remember Roger. Rest in peace, dear son, father and brother. Always loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.

Roger was born in Lyons, NY, on August 27, 1965, the son of Harold and Florence Sayre Silcox Sr.  Roger attended Clyde-Savannah High School, where he was known for his quick wit and infectious smile. In his free time, he enjoyed watching football, especially cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was also passionate about lifting weights and watching NASCAR, remembering his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Roger’s dream of owning a Harley finally came true! However, On this tragic day October 5, 2024, he said he was taking it out for 1 last ride before storing it. Roger’s life was cut short due to a motorcycle accident on his Harley. While we mourn the loss of such a wonderful soul, we take comfort in knowing that Roger lived his life to the fullest and brought joy to all who knew him.

Roger is survived by five children Steven Williams, Ashley Corcoran, Katlyn Corcoran, Allyssa Silcox, and Roger Silcox Jr.; his mother Florence Silcox; brothers Harold (Patricia) Silcox Jr., Edwin (Janet) Silcox; sister Jenny Silcox, and several nieces and nephews. He was a doting father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who was always ready with a joke or a story to brighten your day.
