WATERLOO: Ruth Townson – Eads, 69, passed away Friday evening August 16, 2024 in her home with her loving and supportive family by her side. Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, August 21 from 5 – 7 PM at the Waterloo Presbyterian Church, 42 E. Main Street, Waterloo. A memorial service will be Thursday, August 22 at 11 AM also at the church.
Ruth was born on July 31, 1955 in Clifton Springs, to the late, Stanley and Isabelle M. (Fuller) Bushart. She was a 1973 graduate of Marion High School. She was a Horologist (Clock Repair) and an Organist at the Waterloo Presbyterian Church and the Lyons Methodist Church for many years. When she was not fixing clocks or playing the organ you would find her in her back yard in one of her many flower beds. She helped start the Harmony Food Pantry and the Waterloo Community Garden.
She is survived by her husband Larry, who she has been with for 18 years; her daughter Sarah Townson; sons Edward “Ted” Townson and Jeremy (Jessica) Leno; her granddaughter Kyla (Michael) Denise; grandson Kody (Margaret) Leno ; her sister Karen Hayden; her brothers Carmen (Beth) Bushart, David (Karen) Marsh, Warren (Barbara) Bushart and Kevin (Kim) Bushart; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Alan Bushart and a brother-in-law Geoffrey Hayden.
