Born March 14, 1939, Doug spent his lifetime loving the land where he grew up, farming with his parents and then with his loving wife of 49 years, Johanna. The business then expanded into Williams Farms, LLC where he continued to grow onions, potatoes and apples with his two sons, John and Steve. Doug was always happiest out on the muck planting onions in the spring, watching his crops grow in the summer, and harvesting them in the fall. Doug will be remembered for his welcoming smile, caring heart, and quiet generosity.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to all the caregivers who supported Doug in his home. Your compassion and care will always be remembered.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Service 2PM Saturday, January 10th, at the Faith Fellowship Gym (behind the church), 3757 Mill St., Marion, NY 14505. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug’s memory to the Faith Fellowship Church, 3757 Mill St., Marion, NY 14505. Online condolences may be expressed at stevensfhmarion.com
