UPPPER MARLBORO: Candy G. Woods, 77, died unexpectedly at her home, on March 21,2024.

Candy was born in Newark, New York, on December 29, 1946, to Fred and Louise (Karge) Frey. She was one of the original students at Saint Michael’s School in Newark. She graduated from Newark High School and Bryant and Stratton College. She also attended the University of Maryland. She had a more than 40-year career with the Morgan, Lewis, and Bockius law firm in Washington, DC. Candy loved God and saw beauty in everything he created, especially all creatures, great and small.

Candy will be remembered by her sisters Pamela Wojtowicz of Fort Lauderdale, FL., and Wendy Peterson of Hamburg, NY; three nieces, Kathleen (Scott) Peterson of Hamburg, NY, Kelly (Emmett) Lonergan of Angola, NY, and Kristen (Rob) King of Hamburg, NY; her nephew EJ (Suzie) Wojtowicz of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; her grandniece, Samantha (Bubba) Reisdorf; and two grandnephews, Jack and Alec Wojtowicz. She was loved and will be missed by everyone.

Candy is predeceased by her son, Jude; a sister, Karen Allen, and her nephew, Tyler King.

Please join the family at 10:30 a.m on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. Michael Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513 for Candy’s memorial mass. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
