Aaron Meyer and Michael Ciripompa, who are both juniors at Marion-Junior Senior High School captured the top two spots in Class C at the Section V Boys Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Letchworth State Park.

Competing for the merged Williamson-Marion squad, Aaron won the 5K race in 15 minutes, 52.5 seconds. Michael was runner-up in 16:44.0 as Williamson-Marion finished fifth as a team.

Both Aaron and Michael qualified to compete in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships on Nov. 16 at Queensbury High School.
