Doubles team of Chloe Corbett and Addesyn Harkins won a great three set match 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 against Olivia Howarel and Kayli Welch
Also winning at doubles in another 3 set match were Morgan Koller and Felisha Santoro 6-7 (8-10), 6-3, 6-5 against Savannah Fish and Marie Evans

Gananda/Sodus/Lyons
At Blue Heron Hills Gananda shot a 189 to post victories over Sodus and Lyons who both shot a score of 230. Gananda’s Spencer Yaeger was the medalist with a score of 44. Gananda 8th grader Jack Wilson posted a 47. Low for Sodus was Gavin Davey with a 50, and the low score for Lyons was a 53 posted by Cole Burnett. The victory improved Gananda’s record to 9-0.
Varsity Swimming

Pal-Mac v. Greece
Pal-Mac Red Raiders and Greece Storm girls swimming and diving had an exciting meet 10/3/24. Greece began with diving with Amelia Ogles scoring a 108.45. The Medley relays followed with a neck and neck race ending in a touch-out by Greece (Dinh, Difranco, Early, Bodzon). Both teams enjoyed a competitive meet, with Greece taking first in the 50 yard Freestyle (Bodzyn 25.75), 100 Fly (Dinh 105.89), 100 Free (Bodzyn 58.29), 500 (Nitti 6:22.57), and the 100 Back (Dinh 102.54). Pal-Mac saw first in the 200 Free (Anthony 2:10:01), 200 IM (C.Kubasiewicz 2:52:59), and the 100 Breastroke (Henley 1:22:59). The meet came down to the final relay, and Pal-Mac sealed their win with their 200 Freestyle relay team (Anthony, Henley, Rouland, C.Kubasiewicz) and the 400 Freestyle relay team (S.Kubasiewicz, Case, Lindstrom, Newman). 8th grade rookie Erika Lindstrom swam her first sectional qualifying race in the 100 Breastroke. Pal-Mac’s homecoming swim meet is on Saturday at 11am against Newark-Lyons.
Gananda v. Wayne
On October 3rd, Gananda-Wayne Girls Varsity Swimming hosted Marcus Whitman at the Gananda Pool.
Gananda-Wayne had three double-event winners: Emma Catalano in the 200 Free and the 100 Back, Natalie Schwandt in the 200 IM and the 100 Free, and Sydney Richards in the 500 Free and 100 Breaststroke. In diving, Gianna Caracci secured a new PR with a score of 165.70, placing first. Haley Conner placed first in the 50 Freestyle and was also a member of all three relays, each also taking first place.
For Marcus Whitman, Lilly Burnett took first place in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:14.43.
Final score of the meet was 122 Gananda-Wayne, 37 Marcus Whitman.
