Wayne Central School District’s coach Bill Thomson posted an impressive stat of his own during last Tuesday night’s game.

The Boys Varsity basketball coach recorded his 300th win as a coach with the Eagles. Students, faculty, family and friends all joined Thompson on the court after the game to recognize this achievement.

Decades in the making, Thompson’s first recorded win came all the way back in 1998.

In the days following, social media posts recalled Thompson’s triumphs both on and off the court, with former students and parents chiming in to thank him for his leadership in the classroom as well.
